As part of the continuous staff development and quality assurance mission at Bristol Dental School, Dr Alaa Daud organised/led a staff away day to calibrate and update staff on various topics, including theory and hands-on sessions. The following topics were covered: hands-on Medical Emergencies, hands-on Class II solution using the Palodent system (Dentsply), Post core & Crowns, Dentures, Y5 assessment overview, new Periodontics classification, Year 2 BDS21 overview, Update on Oral Health.
Both Restorative and Hygiene & Therapy staff enjoyed the fruitful day and received Continuous Professional Development (CPD) certificates. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the speakers who delivered some of the above informative/interactive sessions, and to Dentsply for supporting the hands-on session in the Clinical Skills Simulation Lab.
