This past Monday saw the Clinical Skills Laboratory (CSL) officially renamed as the Dr Gray Clinical Skills Laboratory. Following his retirement in March we were determined to create a lasting legacy of Gordon’s huge and long lasting impact at the Dental School. As Gordon spent a large amount of time teaching students in the CSL, this seemed the perfect venue to name after him. It was also the scene of his last ever teaching session earlier this year.
As you can see from the gallery below the ceremony was well attended by both staff and students, including the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Bristol, Professor Hugh Brady. We hope Gordon is enjoying his retirement and invite him to pop in whenever he likes to see his CSL in action.
What a tribute! Gordon Gray must be incredibly proud of this evidence of his teaching record and legacy.
Wow! Dr Gray must’ve been on cloud nine when he learnt about the tribute. Such an honor.
